This page explains how to request the deletion of your data from Ecom Profits, operated by Merkel LLC, including data accessed through connected platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Pinterest, Klaviyo, and Shopify.
What data we hold
When you use Ecom Profits and connect one or more advertising or e-commerce platforms, we store:
- Your account information (name, email, company, subscription details);
- Encrypted access tokens for the platforms you have connected;
- Advertising performance data pulled from those platforms (ad account IDs, campaign / ad set / ad structure, insights such as impressions, clicks, spend, purchases, ROAS, and video metrics);
- Usage logs (pages visited within the Service, session timestamps) used for security and product improvement.
How to request deletion
To request deletion of your data, send an email to:

Include in the body of the email:
- The email address associated with your Ecom Profits account;
- The name of your business or organization;
- Whether you want to delete all data associated with your account, or only data from a specific connected platform (e.g., only your Meta ad account data).
Verification
To protect against unauthorized deletion requests, we will verify your identity by replying to the email address associated with your Ecom Profits account. If the request is made from a different email address, we may require additional verification before proceeding.
What gets deleted
Upon a verified request, we will delete or irreversibly anonymize:
- Encrypted access tokens for all connected platforms;
- Ad account, campaign, ad set, ad, and insights data collected from connected platforms;
- Alerts, notification history, and AI-generated performance summaries;
- Usage logs associated with your account;
- Account and profile information (name, email, company, connection history).
We may retain limited records where required by law — for example, invoices and billing records for tax and accounting compliance, and anonymized aggregated data used for product analytics that cannot be linked back to you.
Timeline
We will complete verified data deletion requests within 30 days of verification and confirm completion by email. In rare cases involving complex investigations or backups, we may take up to 90 days, and we will notify you if that additional time is needed.
Deleting Meta data specifically
If you want to remove Ecom Profits’ access to your Meta (Facebook and Instagram) data, you have two options in addition to emailing us:
- Disconnect the Meta account from within Ecom Profits (Settings → Meta Ads → Disconnect). This invalidates the stored token and initiates deletion of associated Meta data within 30 days.
- Revoke access at the source by visiting Facebook Settings → Business Integrations, locating Ecom Profits, and removing it. Meta notifies us of the revocation, and we delete the associated data within 30 days.
Automatic deletion
If you cancel your Ecom Profits subscription and do not reactivate it, we will begin the deletion process for your account data 90 days after cancellation. You will receive an email notification at least 14 days before this deletion begins so that you can export any data you wish to retain.
